Dr. He is an Associate Professor at the Law Institute at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS). His main areas of research include International Law, Comparative Law and Policy and Legal System of Environmental Protection and Environmental Dispute Resolution.

Professor He Weidong is acting as the Chinese Project Director for the International Projects for Scientific Cooperation at the Center for Environmental and Resources Law at the Institute of Law at SASS and the Centre for International and European Research at Université d’Aix-Marseille III.
